I set this blog up in order to write book reviews for animal lovers. However, the great bulk of the traffic here comes from people seeking information about how to get a pet through a health crisis by using an esophageal tube. In July of 2008, I recounted my experience with Eddie, giving pictures and advice to those considering tube-feeding. If you’re looking at this photo, that’s probably why you’re here. There have been thousands of hits on this site looking for that post, and I hope Eddie and I have helped save some feline lives that way.
Tube feeding extended Eddie’s life, but eventually old age and assorted infirmities got to him. And so I am writing this on June 6, 2010, because on June 7, 2010, he has his last vet visit. I don’t know if there’s an afterlife or a real “Rainbow Bridge” or any of that. But love lives on, and so I would like to dedicate this site to Eddie and my first three cats, Priscilla, Hillary, and Rabbit. It was an unbelievable privilege to be their human. (And there will be more cats, just not right away.)
